Coach's registration for DYSC or ACC teams or to be DYSC Volunteer Coach
You need to do all three steps
For any player that is 18 years old - you only need to take Safesport training.
If you would like to be either a head or assistant coach, and have created a Sports Connect account with us, follow these 3 mandatory steps: 1) Register for Background check - please make sure you select "Danbury Youth Soccer Club"2) SafeSport Training certificate 3) CDC concussion training certificate
1) GO TO THIS PAGEBackground Checking Club - Online Application (sportsaffinity.com)and follow the instructions by hitting the registration button.If you already have an account enter your email and proceed - if not - create a new account.Do not create a new account if you already have one.2) All Coaches and Parent volunteers need to be Safesport trained.
All players that are over 18 also need to be Safesport trained. Use this link to take Safesport training, which is required every three years - and there are refresher modules you take for the second and third year, before you have to renew the entire course.

2. Complete information on “Sign Up” page.
3. If prompted, log in to the new account you just created.
4. Click on “Menu” and select “Catalog.”
5. Click the Start button for “SafeSport Trained – U.S. Soccer Federation” to complete the course.
6. Upload your certificate of completion.
Instructions for downloading a certificate of completion are as follows:
1. Please select the “Menu” icon at the top right of your page.
2. Select “Transcript”.
3. Once the transcript page displays, locate the most current completion for the course under the “Certificates” section.
4. Download the certificate by selecting the “Download” button at the right of the completed course.

Use this link to take the CDC training. This course has no expiration. You need to take it once.
This is an excellent course not only for soccer, but for anyone that falls for any reason.
Estimated course time is about 25 minutes.
