This is the first installment of "20 Questions with ...", a new series of posts we'll be doing over the next few weeks/months. We'll ask ten soccer-related questions and 10 personal questions of some of our DYSC coaches, trainers and volunteers. Hopefully the answers will provide an insight into the people who are teaching our kids how to love and play the beautiful game -- and maybe entertain us along the way as well ...
First up is U13 Boys Premier Trainer, Steve Lopes:

Loaded question - the players always inspire me to me better.
What has been your proudest moment on the field?
Watching my players come off the field with nothing left has always made me proud. It's so much more rewarding than a win, knowing they gave me everything they had.
What has been your most embarrassing moment on the field?
I lost a game 0-10 a few months ago - that sucked.
Do you have a favorite professional soccer team? Player?
Zidane - incredible!
Do you have any advice for kids who want to go further with their soccer skills?
Love the game first- everything falls into place. Just because you're not where you want to be now, doesn't mean you won't get there later. Never stop wanting to be better - at everything!
What do you do in your off time?
What's that?...when I do have time to myself, I like to write
Is there a talent you wish you had?
What did you want to be when you 'grow up'?
Still trying to figure that out...

Anywhere with my family
If you were stranded on a desert island, what one thing could you not live without?
Which famous person, living or dead, would you like to hang out with for a day?
Eric Thomas - he's not super famous - but has definitely motivated me with his story.
What is one interesting thing people may not know about you?
One of my goals in life is to motivate and inspire people to be better than they believe they can be.
