2013 Phillip Fiore Sr. Scholarship

E-mail Print PDF

Danbury Youth Soccer Club, Inc. is committed to help students that have contributed to our program by providing financial assistance for their undergraduate education. Danbury Youth Soccer Club will award up to two $500 Scholarships to graduating HS seniors who will be continuing their education on a full time basis.

The intent of this scholarship is to promote continued education while rewarding the recipients for their contribution to our soccer program. DYSC will appoint an independent committee to make the selection(s), which will not be based on their participation in the program as soccer players, but on what they have done to promote the program as a volunteer, coach, assistant coach, camp instructor, referee, etc. The scholarship is open to all DYSC member's and family members. If there are no qualified candidates for that particular year, the scholarship(s) may be held over for the following year. This scholarship is named in honor of Mr. Phillip Fiore Sr., a founding father of DYSC, to recognize his outstanding contribution to the youth of Danbury and the game of soccer.
